Here's something I just realized today...how ironic is it that my "Leica glass" and "Zeiss glass" is found on my digital cameras? 😉

These are the cameras I use when I'm not behind the Bessa. Actually...the little 2MP Panasonic makes great images thanks to that huge lens. The 5MP Sony is a relatively new addition but it looks to be a winner, too. It's probable that neither digicam lens actually came out of Germany but the results from each have been great nonetheless.

Sorry for the off-topic post. Thought the Leica and Zeiss afficionados might enjoy a little Friday Fun at my expense. I'll continue to "suffer" with my Voigtlander RF lenses... 😉

Have a pleasant weekend!

Hey, nothing to "suffer" about. I have the 35 Ultron and I think it's a very fine lens. I wish the flare were better controlled, but that is my only gripe. And the shade. OK, two gripes, but at that price, it's worth every Yen.

Trust me, if the aperture on the lenses on the Panasonic or Sony cameras were a bit bigger, I'd consider them more (although I've had my moments of weakness). I'm cuckoo for full aperture. I've seen samples from the Lumix, not bad at all...

Happy shooting!

Hey, those Panasonics are wonderful. I initially had the FZ3, but later went to the 15; not for the extra resolution, but for manual focus. I prefer the size of the smaller
ones, though.

Unless I see some original thinking from these jackass camera companies and their
DSLRs, I will remain with the Lumix FZ series until they disappear. You are aware
that Panasonic will be showing at least one 4/3 System DSLR at the upcoming PMA,
right? I'll be there, and if I detect enough interest from people I'm thinking of doing
an end of day report for at least the first day. That's still not definite--just something
I'm considering.

If Panasonic can just make some headway with their high ISO noise issues, they may
have me for life. But even as-is--1/15 sec, handheld at effectively 400mm--what's
not to like?

ps--Jorge...Joe...why is it that my evenly typed lines of text get displayed like some
drunken sonnet? I'm using a Mac--youse guys don't like Mac??
