We're all light!
See what I never know about, happening practically around the corner, unless somebody mentions it here? The campaign exhibit currently at the Leica Gallery in NYC focuses on the Obama primary run and is very well done. I went a couple weeks ago, my first time to the Leica Gallery. It is small, but the exhibit is impressive.
Thanks for this, I'm definitely checking it out.
Oh, you know me, Mum's the word.(shh, don't tell anyone, even though the obvious M8 images were wonderful, I liked the character of the old film shots from prior campaigns going back to LBJ better.)

Ya gotta read the replies to the photos in the Gawker website. how they must of been taken with a Canon or Nikon, the composition sucked the lighting was bad & so forth. One poster says the photos were taken with a Canon 5D. Here's the site.

Those pictures are not dull, they're masterful.
He must have some pedigree to get that sort of access.

The equipment is identified on the flickr site. It is Canon EOS stuff.

I didn't mean dull as in uninteresting I was refering to the light or lack of it and the slight dimness they have!
And by no stretch of the imagination are those pics 'masterful!'
his using a 20mm at least for indoor shots and yet none of the shots are distorted. and still he has captured 'moments'.
try it and see how easy it is.

The photographer was constrained by the lighting situation. The environment was quite dim, mostly lit by tungsten bulbs, and the shutter speed on some of the pictures was pretty slow.
The composition was OK, it's photojournalistic in nature, the point is to make sure the important aspects are in the frame.

Hi folks,
since you are so lazy I took the job of bringing Gerber to your mouths:
This is the whole TV doco with the great still images I saw:
Before you click I must warn that the narrative analysis has been quite shocking for me, i,e, highly interesting, but you can watch the image silencing your computer and will better focus on the imagery side.

BTW, here at chapter 7, around minute 5:56 (pause !) you will find the stunning picture of Hillary, I was alledging at the opening post.
Cheers,
Ruben

Something surely was lost in translation. Do you realize how offensive you are being?

I saw the show at the Leica gallery. It's really well done. I'm assuming they were taken with an M8 as they have that hot colour look that the camera produces. There is some good story telling in them though they are propagandistic, they do seem very sincere. I enjoyed the behind the scenes photos, Ruben.

That really was the best part! If I forgot to say it earlier... Thanks, Ruben.
