The shots are very good and point out the absurdity of the whole event. At any political event, images will tell more truths than anyone else. Nice work.

Thank you. I was aiming to portray the contrast in between those having fun and those who harbored so much anger towards the government, the rich, what have you. There really was a fascinating divide between the two groups. It's tough to discuss while remaining politically neutral, so I'll shut up.

Of the photos, I think my favorite is the third. Its the least cluttered and more plain separates the subject from the rest of the shot.
All of them a very nice though. Love the tones - I appreciate seeing shots which don't look excessively and needlessly pushed, etc. I like the second image but find the bokeh overly distracting. I have a hard time focusing on the girls in front - who are photographed very nicely - due to the noise in the background. I'm worst than most about that though.

Thank you. Regarding the bokeh, I'd agree, but I was shooting at f/1.4 out of necessity, not for the shallow depth of field. The sun was just setting and I was at the end of a roll of Neopan 400. I pushed the next one to 1600

Oh, I know. The end result is all that matters. Just wanted to clarify that I wasn't part of the shoot wide open 24/7 club

There good, need some cropping. Personally I was taught to shoot children at their level. I would of shot the one with the kids drawing from the ground looking up, with a wide. That way you could of got both of the kids faces in the frame. Just my .02 from a PJ point of view.
