Cool! i would go for it if it was the M version, my collapsible 'Cron is an M cron and i don't have any F cameras so this stands as a good heads up for someone who does 😉 good luck people!!

From what i have just read following some google searches am i correct in thinking that even though SOOKY-M/SOMKY's are for Leica M's they still only take LTM lenses and not M lenses?

No,

SOMKY's will take any summicron collapsible, and the front block of the rigid through an adapter (UOORF or some bark of this kind)

Oh boy this is getting whacky and expensive! the way this is going it'll be cheaper to buy an old Cron DR 😱!

Not so. DR prices have gone up. A clean one now runs you easily beyond US 600 with eyes.

There was an ounce of sarcasm to my last post but I'll not judge anyone for missing it 🙂 although I do feel that the price has out weighed the practicality for me

And a clean collapsible is a very cute and capable lens.
(although the DR is supposed to be excellent too, some say better)

I will never be without my collapsible cron or M2. they are a dream combo for me. and my Summicron is production line clean! not one scratch not a speck of dust, fog or fungus. it cost me £285 but to me it's priceless. and i love the pics it gives me even if it isn't the 'best' verson there is 🙂
