I've recently become aware of a couple of foibles of my own when it comes to my gear, and I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one with these kind of habits.

Firstly, with digital, I have to have more memory capacity than I could fill with the battery supply I have with me.

Secondly, I have a little pouch that perfectly fits my T3, and RX100, and some additional gubbins, I always have 2 spare T3 batteries in there.
There's no way I could possibly use whatever is left on the battery in the camera, and a whole other battery in it before I'm home again, but the fact that I only had one battery in there recently has been niggling.

So what little foibles do you have?

I wouldn't class those habits as foibles, more as common sense. A digital camera without power or enough memory is useless baggage. Three batteries is pushing it a bit though! With a digital camera, I'd have 2 (sets of) batteries and 2 memory cards since you never know when one might fail or be full (card) or empty (battery) unexpectedly.

With a film camera, I'd be carrying enough film for anticipated needs and a roll or two over, probably several over if somewhere I knew I could not return. Same logic and I don't see it as a foible but sensible. If you're a photographer there's considerable frustration at seeing an opportunity and being unable to use it.
