Looking around on eBay out of cursiosity at a rolleicord VB I found this fantastic looking custom rolleicopi, it appears to have a standard VB body with the rolleicopi hood and WLF from an original and then half of the Polaroid back to which someone has grafted what looks like a wooden frame to which is sealed with foam and holds a packfilm back:

Looks real cool if it works, I would probably by this if I didn't have a holiday to pay for!

(Not affiliated with the seller in any way, just thought this was pretty cool

Interesting, some kind of DIY "improvement"... There are some original versions on ebay:

I wonder, what is the frame size - will that produce 6x6 image or somewhat larger?

P.S. I see that this particular item has been sold previously, but now it is for sale again - either returned or not paid for...

Intresting, I can imagine that the Polaroid back will have a mask for 6x6 but it depends what camera the back inserted is from. Its like the mamiya tlr hacked back on camera quest. But I wonder if this focuses to infinity

So do I get it correct that Polaroid pack film (e.g. FP100C) can be used with this modified back?

It looks like it yes, I dont know the film format or if it has full infinity focus but damn wouldnt that be cool?

Looks like a modified Rolleicopi to me.

It appears to be a standard black Vb to which someone has attached the rolleicopi hood and the WLF from a philips rolleicopi (identified by grey leatherette) and then took the back from the original rolleicopi and grafted the back to. Very interesting idea

If that focuses closer than my converted to take film pack Pathfinder 110, it would be really cool to try (and BTW - I would not even need the infinity)... But the price is a bit steep and it is not clear if it works well..

Yeah its a big investment however if it doesnt work you can get a replacement back and have a regular cord at least. If I had the money though I would 100% give this a go
