I found out why my changing bag was full of hair....I left it unzipped and the cat thinks it's a cat sleeping bag !

30 minutes of vaccuming and a roll of Scotch lint remover, it's clean again.

After my dog chewed up some exposed rolls of film , I thought of starting a thread like "did the dog eat your gear"?

I didn't think of cats as potential troublemakers !

Cats seem to have a thing about small enclosed spaces. Mine loves to climb into the drawer of a roll-top desk and hide in the space behind the drawer inside the cabinet. I once accidentally closed the drawer locking her inside. She sat there quietly not making a sound till I realized what must have happened and let her out. Then she wandered out looking extremely pleased with herself. The same happens with wardrobes when I open one to get clothes out - she hops in sometimes without me realising and then sits quietly inside if she gets locked in. She loves this game so much that she has learned to open the door on one of them and will open up and go in of her own accord if she feels like it.

The interesting thing is she started the game with the roll top desk when she was a tiny kitten. Now that she is a rather large cat and has to wriggle and squeeeeeeeze to get in, but she still manages to do so.

She regularly climbs into any bag I leave on the floor and while I don't have a changing bag she happily clambers into my camera equipment bag or even into a plastic shopping bag or paper bag if I leave one where she can get at it.

If the weather is cold and I am wearing a nice warm coat or woolen jumper she will climb onto my lap and paw at the coat or jumper and meow softly, asking to be let in. Once inside she curls up and goes to sleep quietly.

They are great little animals.

LOL I leave my change bag in a heavy duty ziplock bag for that reason.

Printers make the best cat toys. They're warm, and occasionally they spit out interesting pieces of paper from a magic slot. Sometimes one of our cats manages to turn the printer on from sleep, and I'm just waiting until she works out how to print a test page.

She's also quite interested in the scanner. The noises and moving light are a great source of interest. I always have to spend time de-hairing the scanner before using it.

Couple of years ago a friend of mine had just moved into a new house. Bought a new TV with controls located on the top. Guess where his cat's loved to lie on top of.
He got a call at work from another friend that the cops were at his door. Cats had turned on the TV and turned up the volume all the way!

Great way to make a good first impression with your neighbors. 🙂

He got some wall socket gizmo to turn off all the power to the TV.

I made half a dozen corn muffins one morning and left them on top of the stove to cool. I got stuck working with a customer for about an hour. When I finally was free to go enjoy a muffin, I found that Rupert ate all the tops off the muffins.

He tries to open doors but hasn't yet, he keeps trying though. He does switch the lights on and off to mess with me.

Good thing I like that little bugger.
