I was looking for a cheap way to protect my X100 when I stumbled upon a site recommending a $26 chinese fake leather replica of the LC-100. I checked out the site a bit more and found a review on a $50 LH-100 replica as well! I followed the links to their respective ebay pages and bought them both, figuring that I really had nothing to lose. It took about 3 weeks for me to recieve them (probably due to the Canada Post strike... huge backups), but they're finally here! Best of all, I didn't have to pay customs fees because they marked the items as gifts.
Lets start with the hood! It comes with an adapter ring so you can attach filters as well. Everything screws on as it should. The only gripe I have with it is that the hood doesn't click in place when you screw it onto the adapter ring. I'm not sure if the original LH-100 is like that, but it's not a big deal, it stays on fine. The hood is just a TAD bit darker than the camera itself, but it's not really noticable.
The case fit snuggly as it should. I removed the top 'cause I intend on using it as a half-case to protect the camera. It makes gripping the camera a whole lot easier. The back is left completely open so all the buttons are easily accessible. There's no tripod hole at the bottom of the case, which to me isn't much of a problem because I always shoot the X100 handheld. It covers the top of the focus mode switch, but you can still access all three modes... it just looks kinda ugly if you're paying attention. Oh and the base of the case isn't completely flat... but again, not a big deal as it stands perfectly fine.
For a total of $75CAD, i'm more than satisfied with what I have. They do what they're supposed to and that's what matters!
Anyway, here are the links I found
