I'm well aware of where Leicas come from. But there has been quite a to-do about some French outfit buying up a bunch of stock and insisting on putting prices out the reach of most of us peons.

From a discussion on dpr today, which I haven't taken time to confirm, it was announced today that Hermes (that French outfit) has sold its interest in Leica Camera to ACM (that outfit in Austria), which brings its ownership up to 88%.
Andreas, a principle in ACM, has posted on this forum, explaining ACM's intended plans for Leica Camera.
