Oh Dear...

Kai himself asks the question, not his camera, not his decision. As long as he can keep his M2 as is he's happy. I have to agree.

Hi,

I'm the guy with the dodgy painting skills in the video (I'm only posting here because I actually like this forum) and it wasn't easy painting the M9 because:

1. I'm crap at painting.
2. Because I wish I could own one.

Still, it was nice seeing the inside of one, and adjusting the RF alignment without having to stick something through the red dot.

Now....if I get the chance, I'm going to just strip it down to the brass and leave it like that.....

I wouldn't worry too much. It's not hard to imagine your frustration giving that M9 a 'make-over', when you look at the video.

KaiW does say he is 'crap' at painting - regretfully I have to agree - I would have hoped for a better finish, but, it's certainly different and if it's what the owner wants, and the owner is pleased, who am I to comment otherwise?
Interesting to see some of the insides - I learnt something there.
Great posting.

Haha, though I kept assuming this camera would off to Leica for the M9-P upgrade program anyways. If not, then ouch... :(

My guess is that the 'Bloody Producer' was already planning to send it in for the M9-P upgrade, and realized he could get an amusing video with little risk and cost. It might also inspire Leica to produce a limited Pinkenta edition.

Kai, your producer is crazy... your crazy too but that's OK... Your channel has brought a freshness to photography, which it badly needed. Keep up the good work.
