Oh how I miss my Ricoh

never has any object evoked such sentimentality in me as my little, truly broken ricoh. It endured freezing heights, sandy lows and despite the brand new olympus I miss it terribly. I think it made me think more, take better photos because of its limitations and if I had the money I would buy another in an instant.

Guess you had a Ricoh GR filmbody and not one of these newer digital? A used GRD1 are not very expensive but still lot of joy to use and capable.

This really makes me miss my Nikon 35ti. A great set of shots too, well done.

I received a GR1 this week and have already put two rolls through it.
Never had a camera, that was so pocketable, with such a stellar lens and well thought button layout.

Thinking of adding a GRD 😀

I always believe the GR1v to be the ultimate P&S shooter. The Minolta TC-1 may be richer in feature, but does not give that robust feeling of a workhorse.

Out of camera, or post processed?

Panasonic Lumix FZ30. Wonderful Leica branded f/2.8-5.6 35-420mm zoom lens in a bridge-body with full manual control. I LOVED that camera do death and it took GREAT pictures. But I wanted to step up to Micro Four Third (which I don't regret), so I had to sell it (which I regret).

My Yashica Electro 35 GT, which just died. Wonderful for b&w photography. I hope I can repair it (or get it repaired) some time.

I honestly don't recall, though I took them in Nepal and uploaded them through internet cafes for safe keeping so I expect they are out of camera as it's unlikely there would be photo shop to hand
