And my money is supposed to be for my son's Montessori, not on a black Nikon SP.

I went to public school and if my father gave me a black Nikon SP I would be incredibly happy.

ha ha, Phil
My older son see's my collection, and I tell him that when I go, they are all his. He looks at me as if I'm from a different planet.
My younger son loves to exercise my cameras, but I have to be careful to keep his fingers off the lens. Maybe there is hope there.

Forget the nefarious content and websites in my Internet browser history. When my wife sees that eBay or B&H have been visited, I always get "the look," or if there is something sitting in a cart/wish list, I often get "the talk."

Say a prayer for me, I just bought an M4 last night. My first Leica - what am I getting myself into?

What is even worse is I'm thinking of rebuying things I used to own.

No problem with the children's education.

If you can't stay off ebay just bid less than you normally would.
You will miss good part of listings!

Wait, do you use same accounts/logins?
Old anecdote - wife tells husband she would like to hear more "our" than "my". Later husband is searching something in a dressroom.
- Darling, wat are you looking for, may I help you?
- Sure! I can't find our undies!

I was enchanted by a Baby Rollei 4x4 TLR recently, they are just so darn cute! The bids went way too high for me. But I kept looking and later I placed a minimum bid on a Yashica 44 LM and I won it. While I was looking I placed a minimum bid on a Japanese knock-off of a Yashica 6x6 and won it!
Stupid Ebay, or is it stupid ME! I got to stop looking.

I think many of us have this problem.
And this forum does not help either. I see photos of and from some of your gear, I scribble down what it is, go look it up, then go see what they cost on eBay. At that point, I learn more about them to decide if they are a good value for the money vs one of those cameras that sounds cool to have in your collection vs what use I'd get out of it. And somewhere in there I end up finding something on eBay and buying it.
Same with film. I ended up with 9 gorgeous 100' rolls of Kodak Portra 160NC (expired 2007-2008) for a steal one day. Another, I found a guy with a huge box of expired Kodak Gold 100 for cheap, and so on.
I tend to mostly buy film over cameras these days but I still do buy cameras too. I am still looking to add a Rollei to my collection. Among others.
I am not addicted, I'm obsessive compulsive. There's a difference.

I did that (with an M3) and it was followed by $1500 in lens purchases, so good luck with that.
