Oh lord, please bring sanity to my trigger finger.
My ebay trigger finger.

I went to public school and if my father gave me a black Nikon SP I would be incredibly happy. 😀

I always feel uncomfortable when what wives do think and what children's education do cost come into those typical GAS discu$$ions.

Forget the nefarious content and websites in my Internet browser history. When my wife sees that eBay or B&H have been visited, I always get "the look," or if there is something sitting in a cart/wish list, I often get "the talk."
And my money is supposed to be for my son's Montessori, not on a black Nikon SP.
😛
Say a prayer for me, I just bought an M4 last night. My first Leica - what am I getting myself into? 😀
Hear, hear! 😀I think many of us have this problem.
And this forum does not help either. I see photos of and from some of your gear, I scribble down what it is, go look it up, then go see what they cost on eBay. At that point, I learn more about them to decide if they are a good value for the money vs one of those cameras that sounds cool to have in your collection vs what use I'd get out of it. And somewhere in there I end up finding something on eBay and buying it.
Same with film. I ended up with 9 gorgeous 100' rolls of Kodak Portra 160NC (expired 2007-2008) for a steal one day. Another, I found a guy with a huge box of expired Kodak Gold 100 for cheap, and so on.
I tend to mostly buy film over cameras these days but I still do buy cameras too. I am still looking to add a Rollei to my collection. Among others.
I am not addicted, I'm obsessive compulsive. There's a difference. 😀
