it's the battery grip that dwarfs the camera, not the lens imho...
Well, the ART FILTER option right on the top dial next to the canonical S, A and P modes (not to mention that the ad's copy prominently touts the ART filters) kinda makes me wonder if Gimmick was not the flavor of the coolaid being served up by the Olympus marketing product managers.
In any case, your point is valid, let's not cast stones until the camera is out. I'll just keep a few pebbles at my fingertips, for now 🙂
Although... why on earth would it have 2 lock dials? Maybe the top one locks the tilty-screen?
a nice looking machine. hopefully it has the same reputation for toughness as the e-3/e-5 cameras .
Pretty much having a conversation with myself here, but possibly that middle 'section' between the grip and the (what seems to be the) camera body is a spacer - which would make the camera nicer to hold with larger lenses - like 4/3 lenses for instance... in which case the 2 lock dials would make sense..
Any other ideas?
I would guess the upper lock dial is for the hand grip, the lower one for the vertical grip?
