The Oly 12-50mm is sealed--it will be offered as a kit lens with the E-M5. There is also a sealed 60mm Macro coming later this year--but that's it for the moment.

I'm a Zuikoholic, honnestly. But what do we have here ?
Fuji made a 'false-rangefinder' (autofocus) X-Pro 1 with APS-C sensor, Olympus is launching a 'false-SLR' (no mirror) OM-D with M4/3 sensor.
The more I look at these products, the more I love my film cameras : manual focus, 24x36, large choice of lenses, large choice of films, real BW without any need to find the Tri-X filter in Silver Efex Pro...
On the official Olympus website, the two first things I see in the specs are the 'intelligent' viewfinder and the art filter. It sounds like 'my camera does not need me' and 'ugly photos inside', to me.
My conclusion is that they're all trying hard to reinvent the reel. I don't blame them for trying, but...

$2-300 cheaper than the NEX-7, roughly the same price as a GX1 w/ external EVF, $700 cheaper than a X-Pro 1 (but minus the OVF).
More expensive than the G3, but with better specs (the G3 doesn't have a true 1.44m dot EVF as I understand it).
Given the rest of the market, the price seems quite fair.

Hmm, I thought the Panasonic G3 was around $650 with lens. I admit I'm a shallow person and am far more drawn to the Olympus, but it seems they're going to make me pay for the privilege.

$1300 for weatherproof cam with these specs plus IBIS and a weatherproof 24-100 zoom is a steal in todays market.

That's the first time I saw the new prism hump vs the removable EVF (I have the E-P2).
BIG difference!
I won't sell my E-P2 because of its pen heritage (and my wife likes it). But my E-620 is toast fer shure.

I can only think of another system with a kit 24mm-at-the-wide-end lens: Contax N1. And it didn't have a $1300 price tag.

It looks nice and i really hope it's a success for Olympus. Is it just me or are there suddenly a lot of GAS inducing cameras on the market? I guess holding and shooting this camera will be the real deciding moment, I shoot left eyed and find some cameras just too akward to actually live with. I also have big hands and will actually need the extra grip on offer.

I don't think it's necessarily an either/or choice. Aside form cost/economics (not inconsequential, I admit,) one could keep an OM body or two and have an E-M5, use OM glass via adapter on the E-M5 as well as any m4/3s lenses.
Should I decide to get an OM-D, I will sell off excess OM bodies and lenses, plus some other gear, and shoot with 2 OMs, and OM-D, 3 or 4 OM primes and one or two m4/3 lenses.
