Akiva, keep us posted with commentary and pictures of this adventure you're starting/
It is supposed to be a winner. please let us know.BTW, that is a great deal!

Started with the CV 21/4. Using Hyperfocal (zone focusing) it is good and faster than auto focusing. The "focus peaking" feature is so much better than the Sony Nex version, much less intrusive. Next up was a CV 40/1.4. Should be a great portrait shooter. Last I tried my trusty old Leica 90mm F4. Jiggles a lot in the VF but actually comes out sharp as hell. Still figuring this out. I do not like going into the menu to change the lens size every time I change lens. maybe there is an easier way. Gulp! I might have to open the manual for that. cheers!

This one's in the bag almost every day. Yesterday with Contax G 90, day before with SLR Magic 23 1.7, tomorrow G 45/2--the splendid 35 1.7 is getting bench time while the XE1 sees what other lenses can do.

I am awaiting delivery of a black X-E1 body and am entrenched in lens research land.

Akiva, do you plan on going beyond the M adapter with a kit lens?

I have seen similar deals due to the release of its replacement. Very tempting. I've just got an X100s and the image quality is great, not to mention being able to set aperture and shutter speed with DIALS. Very interesting to hear your impression of the focus peaking compared to the Sony.

Why don't people gravitate to Fuji? Reviewers like Steve Huff don't like them. People listen to people like that.
