Second on the Yellow Diamond being normal, same as on my Yashica GT. Your camera sounds fine.
Tell your Fiance that you should add the Lynx to the fold. That way you have the automatic camera and the fully-manual one.

A quick question - is the little focus spot supposed to be a reeeeeeeeeally tiny yellow diamond? Geez that is tiny . My new baby is loaded with some old fuji film thats been patiently sitting in my fridge for a year or so, I almost forgot I had it, the only film I regularly take out of the fridge is some 120 bw stuff. Pictures tommorrow evening definately!
Yup, it's the small diamond, and through the viewfinder, it's the small yellow diamond! But luckily it isnt as small as the meter's diamond. From what I'm hearing, the Lynx 14 is a manual version of the GSN... Wow, I mean, I love the GSN and everything, but being able to make your own call about the shutter speeds, and with 45mm f1.4 lens, it looks mighty awesome. The only drawback is probably the size. It looks like a small SLR.

I'm waiting for the sun to come out, so I can see my infinity target.
Otherwise they are done.
Or so you thought they were done, the tail end of the herd is in transit as we speak.

My GSN has arrived!
My GSN has arrived!
One thing is that it does not appear to have any light seals. Not unexpected on a 30 year old camera. Wher can I get some light seals and directions on where to put them. Yashica-guy.com?
Hmm. Time to update my signature...

Thanks Jon, i found him. I'll get the larger kit, as I'm sure I have a couple other cameras that need seals. (My ancient AE-1 for one)
Now, what do most yashica users use for batteries? I have a bunch of 1.35 mercury batteries for the Leica and the QL17, but can one get the original Yashica battery? I'm off to eBay and Google, so I'm really just asking for references for what I find when I go looking...
