Aren't Domkes ridiculously over-priced in the UK?

Everything is overpriced in the UK Frank, that's why Brits spend so much money flying to New York for a weekend shopping trip, it can actually be worth it

I can deal with buckles, clips and various types of fastener far better than the nasty and loud rip that comes from two velcro patches. The biggest failure for me with the BBB.

In spite of the fact I have two new Thinktank bags (Retro 5 & Citywalker 10) sitting on a shelf I got another Bare Bones bag just last week. I already have the original and just got the BBB-e. Though it has Velcro I do find it quieter than some bags I've had and I think it does quieten after a while. I suppose you could add your own Velcro silencers.

Hi Paul,

The BBB-e, is that the updated version of the original BBB that has the blue reflective flap at the front? That's the bag I have thats wearing very very thin in places but is pretty much perfect in terms of size and 'wearability' for me...its just the velcro and the reflective flap that I've never been that keen on. Though a quick look at the Indian Hill website shows the BBB-e comes with a choice of flap colours now.

Given the complaints about the velcro on the BBB, I thought I would mention that if you order direct from Courierware you can customize the bag to delete the velcro (among other options).

Design your own medium or large for $140-170. The medium may not be quite roomy enough for your stated kit, but will hold my x100 & XE1 35 with hoods. These are made from scratch by a photographer. No Velcro; 1 plastic snap; sewn-in inserts; 1 zip compartment, mini-iPad sized on the medium. Can be worn diagonally (I do that).
