It is made in Germany, 35mm, Has EDINEX on the name plate, the lens is 50mm f3.5 and appears to be collapsible, the Lens says Wirgin-Wiesbaden O Edinar. It is in a Pronto shutter with "Old Money" shutter speeds of B,1/25,1/50, 1/100, and 1/200. It has a PC connection on the shutter which fires a flash. It loads throught the bottom with a "Here, hold this,' type of bottom plate.

Help me, gurus.

Well, that doesn't take you to the page I was looking at, just the site home page. :-( From there use the Search to look for Edinex and choose the third (lowest) link. Here's most of the text:

The Wirgin brothers produced cameras from 1924
1938 the jewish owners of the factory were forced to sell to Dr. Schleußner (Adox)
1945 ownership went back to the Wirgin family
1961 Franka Werke, Bayreuth was taken over
From 1968 new ownership "Edixa gmbH" continues camera production
1971 the factory had to close down.

Edina (1953)
Edinex (1935/1949)
Edixa (1953)
Edixa 16 (1962)
Edixa 125/250 (1965)

Well, that should help point you in some more directions for info...

According to McKeown's Cameras, Edinex cameras were made between 1930 and 1952. If yours has a coupled rangefinder then it is a model III or IIIS. McKeown's lists a wide variety of lenses and shutters that were used on the same models, so I can't tell from the description just which one you have.

Some were marked with the name Wirgin on the film counter and some were sold under the names Midget Marvel and Candid Midget. To quote from McKeown's, "Edinex cameras present some identification problems because most do not bear any model name on the camera, but only in catalogs and advertising."
