i just bought two packs of Chinese 4x5 iso 100. I can't wait to shoot.

Hi Kestas,

My favorite old style film has got to be Tri-X. Rated at Ei 200 and developed in HC-110 dilution H for 9 mins at 20C. It has everything I need in a film.

Regards, John.

What he said, though I do prefer the Foma 100 & 400 to the 200. I especially like it as Freestyle's Arista.Edu Ultra brand ... 😀

I prefer forte films. I like to use 100, 200 and 400 fortepan films depending on the different lighting conditions. This is a very cheap but IMHO a very good artistic quality film.

[On the other hand I use fomapan ds 8 for movie film wich is a special type of super 8 film (double super 8 film) Thank to Foma Company they producing this rare filmtype with very good pricing. You can see a russian (or former soviet union) DS8 movie vintage camera as my avatar. Of course I have canon, nizo etc. more pro s8 cameras but this is my favourite...]

Kestas: I like your picture a good example for the use of forte.
