As a testing device for lenses the digital M Leicas are unsurpassed.

This is what an uncoated Hektor 50mm f/2.5 from the early thirties produces @ f/2.5.

So the thingy on your shoulder and below the Telyt is a Televid?

from left to right:

Me 🙄 -- Leica M8 -- Visoflex III -- Televit (is the rapid focusing divice from Leica, includes handgrip, shoulder hold, diaphragm and the focusing mechanism)
-- Telyt 400 f 5.6 (is the screw-on lens head, my set has also the Telyt 560mm f 5.6 lenshead)

This is the Televit device.
Rear part (on the right here) is with Visoflex mount, also exists with Leica R (Leicaflex) mount.
Left part is the removable diaphragm.

How many does the magazine hold? 😀

Very cool, how is the handling and functionality of the setup?

It's a bit getting used to. Getting the focus spot on is trial and error.
This bazooka is a bit dodgy in the eyes of the law enforcement.

Great shot, Bébèrt!

Nikon made in the fifties also some lenses with Leica mount. Here's the Nikkor-H 50mm f/2 @ f/2. I have the same lens in Nikon 'S'-mount wich is much sharper than this one.
