I just bought a Polaroid Land Camera that uses type 100 peel apart film. I've seen a lot of expired film on ebay and I'm tempted to bid on some of the stuff that is really old. Does anyone have experience using very old polaroid film?

Any info would be a huge help.
Thanks
Gordon

I've used type 669 and 690 as old as four years out of date. Black and white, about the same.

If it is refrigerated, it lasts longer. I know of people that have used peel-apart Polaroid film older than 20 years and had good results.

Big fan of the Polaroid, but expired film is rarely worth the effort in my experience- predictability goes out the window, even within a pack.

Can be worth the effort if patient.

600 film from 1998, I shot it about 2 years ago. It did not come out very well. Half the image was brown and the other half was with a brownish tint. To be expected.

Thanks for your responses. I've found that buying expired film can produce beautiful results but is also extremely frustrating when you consider that new fuji film is cheaper.
