Ok.. given I'm GAS seriously ill... one of the major symptom is the interest for FSU cameras & lenses. :bang: :)

Here is a test on Fed 5 & Jupiter 8. Plus the Kentmere 100 developed in Adox Fx39

The FED 5 is generally despised because of its appearance and size, but in my experience the chance of getting a properly working camera of this model and especially its predecessor the FED 4, is better than for earlier models. I think that manufacturing precision improved with time.

Well yes, they definetly look and feel "cheap" :), but their performance is quite decent. Mine is the meter-less version and so far it has done its job properly. Only issue I had was that rangefinder was bit unaligned, but that was fixed quite easily.

Coupled with the Jupiter 8 or Industar 61 they do a pretty good job. Congratz on getting a full working copy

Yep guys.... despite the non working meter (and frame counter too)... this camera worked well and seemed reliable. I own both (J8 & Industar 61) lenses and I like these very much. often I ask myself if it makes sense buyng lenses worth 10/100's more.....?

Brw. sometime I buy these lenses.... :bang:
