Oleg is repairing cameras again

It is pleasant news that Oleg Khalyavin has resumed his repair sevice of Russian and Soviet cameras.

I have has several Kiev's serviced by Oleg in the past and the work has been first rate.

Everyone has been so complimentary of Oleg that I jumped on a Moskva-2 and a couple of accessories that he has listed on his web site. The Moskva-2 is listed as in excellent condition and I expect that it will take quality pictures. I'll cross my fingers and hope it arrives before Christmas.

I bought my Zorki 10 from Oleg and he was very honest in his description and because I don't use credit cards the whole transaction took longer but still the actuall shipping time was 12 or 13 days. I am going to do business again with him.

I mailed my money order to his State-side partner yesterday and emailed Oleg to let him know. He replied that he'd have my camera packed and shipped very quickly. Excellent communications.

I have an Iskra - first version - with a bad shutter and I'm going to send it to him for repair. I'm only sending the lens/shutter assembly as the rest of the camera seems to be just fine and shipping will cost a LOT less!

I got a Kiev and Moskva from him. The Moskva-5 is as perfect as it is possible for that camera to be, the Kiev is great, only a bit of the image cut off with flash photography (fires before the bottom shutter completely opens)

I highly recommend him. He's an interesting and competent repairman.
