Oleg's Homage to Erich Salomon

If you go to OKvintagecameras.com, Oleg Khalyavin's site, and click on "About Us," you will see Oleg emulating the well-known picture of Erich Salomon in white tie with his Zeiss Ikon Ermanox. Looks like Oleg has an Ermanox too. (Similar hairline...that's a cheap shot though!) And he's not what I expected -- youthful looking. Nice to see a picture of him.

Sadly, Salomon, a pioneering photojournalist, died in Auschwitz in 1944.

Thank you for that. The Ermanox was a blank spot in my knowledge bank. Likely to stay that way due to the apparent prices.
