shot this in the studio while finishing a roll off in my new to me oly 35rc.
this is from my first roll in this camera. outdoor shots of my daughter all came out great as did more shots with the rc driving my strobes.

BIG PROBLEM
the plastic film takeup spool doesnt have enough friction on the metal spindle to wind and load the film properly !!!!!!! she ate through the next couple of rolls of film I have fed her. each was a waste with the spindle eventually slipping half way through the roll.

it is a older metal release version.
the film advance gear seems fine and doesnt slip at all.
everything else about the camera is 110%
HOW CAN I TIGTEN THE PLASTIC TAKEUP SPOOL ??

this lens seems a lil better than on any of the XA's I used to own 🙂

The takeup spool only needs enough friction to collect the film pushed to it by the sprocket (the film is locked tight between the sprocket and a slot in the pressure plate). The takeup spool should be quite loose, as it is kept engaged throughout rewinding - the rewind knob only disengages the sprocket.

Forward spacing issues (too wide spacing and torn perforation) are more common, due to hardening grease freezing the takeup spool tight (and sometimes incompetent repairers tightening the takeup spool). Overlapping frames usually mean the rewind knob is stuck or the pressure plate is misplaced, has weakened springs or has gone entirely missing.
