I will be burning some T-Max 3200 this weekend in ambient room light at around f/4. Which lens do you think will perform the best, if much difference at all?
Thanks

It's probably a wash, though I preferred the results I got from the RC lens wise. The Canon is way bigger so might be better for slower shutter speeds/ camera shake. Also has the better viewfinder- but my memory is a little hazy...

RC's lens is pretty damn good if you don't mind pincushion distortion or the slowness of it.

Not sure if you'll be using an external meter, but the Olympus 35 RC's internal meter only goes to 800 ASA. Never used the Canon, but Google says the QL17's meter also maxes out at 800 ASA.

I own both. It's a wash really. As noted the RC is smaller than the Canonnette, so some of it depends on how much camera heft you need to feel comfortable. Both are small. As noted, neither has an electronic meter that goes above ISO 800, so you will need to use an external meter for 3200 film. Both should deliver decent photos at f4. Both will work without a battery if you don't use the meter. I prefer the RC.

Thanks. I will be using a handheld meter, shooting at ASA 1600 or 3200. I really like the viewfinder on the RC. But the Canon is no slouch either.
Thanks

I use the Canon QL-17 GIII (left).
I have never used the Olympus 35RC (not shown in attached image).
Since both of your rangefinders have been recently cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted and are now in like-new perfect operating conditions, based on the specs of the two cameras, I would not hesitate using either.
