olympus 2-13 screen vs beattie intenscreen

hello all - in a recent thread on the OM 3 the merits of the elusive 2-13 screen for certain OM series cameras was mentioned. Can I ask the knowledgeable RFF community if you have ever compared the 2-13 with a Beattie IntenScreen?

Which "won"?

looking forward to some ..er....illuminating clarity 😉 on the issue.

I have and have used the 2-13, 2-4 and Beattie screens. Both are quite bright. However, the OM 2-13 and 2-4 focusing screens are noticeably better, being noticeably more contrasty and easier to focus.

Also, don't believe that the Lumi-micron screens from an OM-PC are the same as a OM 2-13 screen (which also is sometimes referred to as a Lumi-micron screen). There is a noticeable difference in brightness and clarity.

Bill Maxwell can cut screens to just about any size and is a pleasure to talk to. Just another option to consider.
