Olympus 35 DC with jammed self-timer - thoughts?

I picked up this camera in a charity shop for a fiver a week ago. It was clearly jammed but for the money I couldn't resist the lure of that lovely looking 40/1.7 lens.

So, any advice on how to unjam the self-timer? The lever will move to the vertical position and start its travel to horizontal (buzzing happily) but it stops at about 30° from horizontal and can't be persuaded to go further.

I'd remove top cover and use naphtha-o-matic...that said, apply small amount of lighter fluid to ST mechanism. Try to run it again, apply again...it should start to work.

Hope you get it fixed. That lens is one of the nicest in any camera, and the DC is one of the most underrated cameras in my opinion.
