Thanks, TMAX is a wonderful and contrasty film but I find sometimes the contrast gets too much to handle. Im finding myself liking Delta 400 more and more.Great pictures that have inspired me to carry my RC more often. I am also going to try your T-MAX & HC110 combo. I read that Rodinal is not so good with T-MAX. Well done!

Thanks for the tip - I mostly use a Leica CL with a contrasty Zeiss lens for the street so I should consider your advice. I try and shoot with Neopan 100 where I can, for finer grain and better dynamic range (IMHO) which means a shallower depth of field and the associated focus issues but I always need 400 later in the day. I have some Delta so will give it go before T-MAX.

Will, BTGC, thank you for the info on the ECR! I'll make another effort to bring it back to life! I'm sure it's a battery connection problem!
Thanks again,

Congratulations, the 35 RC is my altime favourite 35mm rangefinder compact, £25 is a great price for an RC, especially if its fully working, for some strange reason alot of 35 RC seem to have their self timer arm missing or snapped off. As you can tell by the great first roll shots the lens is bang sharp. Well done indeed

Amazingly, the timer lever of the 35RC is made of plastic and this is why you see many with that lever either snapped or missing.
It is of the best little cameras ever (price wise and size wise).

It's nice to see this thread get a bump. Those old Olympus rangefinders always remind me that great images don't need to come from expensive gear. Look at the quality of those images!

An outstanding small RF, one of the best from the 1970s, with a sharp, contrasty lens. I love what it can do with black & white.

Here's another from my "original" 35RC that survived being dropped.

Basically, with this camera, because of its size and simple versatility; you have a device that allows you to have it with you for the unexpected shots:
I'm not saying it is better than my IIIf, but with the flash sync up to 1/500 and the reasonably good meter; it is optically up with the best.

Really impressed with the results you guys have from this little monster. Mine seems a little fuzzy, but will give it a few more rolls to see if its my eye or something is a little off
