Hm.
I got an Olympus 35RC in a trade a while back and considered selling it to put the money towards a 50mm LTM lens I want to buy, bbut now that I'm seeing the shots here, I'm not so sure...

The 35RC was my first camera, brilliantly compact and an exellent lens. I still have it:

Those leaf shuttered OLYMPUS film cameras had some very fine Zuiko lenses fitted to them. Only some Konicas and some Rokkor equipped Minoltas could equal them.

Excellent!
Lovely gradient of light from right to left in this.
Really like this -- the enigmatic expressions, the balance of light and dark. Nicely done!

Years ago the "RD" was the rage. The "RC" was the poor man's RD. I somewhat recently looked at the price of them. It seems the RC has caught up if not surpassed the RD in cost.

Why do you have to quit? I think this is your first post on this thread...

Ah, yes, I stand corrected. I didn't scan all the pages. :bang: Either way, the 35 RC makes great photos, as all your posts have shown.
I think that last photo you took is a good example of its "Goldilocks just right focal" length. Slightly wider than normal 50mm to capture some context, but not quite to 35mm. That, combined with its size and weight, and full feature set, makes it a great little travel/walkabout camera.

She may not like the camera, but the camera sure likes her. Adorable!

I think it is 43mm whatever it is perfect for me. Plus size and weight are good. I do have a grip about the 'A' 'OFF' 'F Stop' ring.

42mm lens, though I wonder how accurate that is, since some 50mm lenses are actually slightly wider or narrower. I agree the aperture ring can be hard to turn sometimes, but Olympus probably had to make some design compromises given its size. Luckily, the focus throw is short, so even if you've changed the focus while futzing with the aperture ring, you can quickly find focus again.
On the other hand, the 43.5mm filter ring size is truly odd...
