Olympus 35 RD...$242.50 on ebay

Holy Crap!!!
What are people thinking?
That means I should be able to get over $150 for my Olympus RC with inop meter, it comes with the original manual too.
Heck, for that I'd throw in a GE DW68 light-meter ~ ; - )

I happen to collect books, I have been to shows where live auctions are being held while book vendors have their sale stock out on tables for sale and trade.

One show I attended (and it is not an unusual event to see this happen) books worth $35 on the floor were being auctioned in the next room with bids in excess of $100 dollars. These were non descript books where there is a large supply in the secondary market.

Dealers always talk about this and try and find the buyer , jokingly saying they have lots more to sell at a 25% discount to what the buyer paid!

Auctions are for the very cautious and knowledgeable who can wait if things get over the top. When feeding frenzies occur the smart ones stand back.

Maybe it is right to sell while the market is hot but it could be over just as quickly. Unless you are a trader, keep the camera. Otherwise selling and taking a profit can be very tasty.

For me there is always another camera that can do the job. I don't have to have the 'camera of the moment' . There was a thread here a while back asking what happened to cause the price of Voigtlander Perkeo's to fall off. Who knows, maybe they were no longer in fashion?

Was it Aesop that said, "A fool and his money are soon parted"? I'm going to start listing some of my non-users and be able to afford new WA lenses for the Bessa !!!
