I just bought Olympus 35 SP.
The problem is that shutter release does not work on all speed higher than 1/4. Auto mode also does not work.
I wonder if anyone has experienced such malfunction and what can be done to fix it. Also, is it hard (expensive) to get fixed?

Thanks for your input!

The 35SP shutter is not the easiest thing to work on. There's a very good set of photos on Flickr documenting how to tear it down, but I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself unless you've had some prior experience with repairing cameras.

Hi,

Welcome aboard; I'm sorry your first post had to be such a sad one.

Luckily there are repairers who can do it and the camera, being a classic, is not entirely unknown to people. As for the cost, I've sure they can give you a rough idea, if you ask them.

Regards, David
