Anyone know what the metal button-type lug is for adjacent to the tripod mount at the bottom? Just picked one up and trying to figure it out. Using two 675's and some foil at the moment... it's got that dimming thing going on with the indicator light on top at long exposures...

I took another look at it when I went back to redo the light seals, and I don't think that's it... it's the same height at the much larger round tripod bushing that takes care of that, and sort of right next to it in a particular place. Wonder if it has something to do with the tripod mount as a stop or anchor pin? I found a explosion drawing of it in dementrix and it's unto itself, with no connection inside the baseplate... or no explanation either.

In studying the explosion drawings in detail, I think I found that it's a pin that holds the take up base tight:

Here's the corresponding hole, I think...

I guess the tripod screw goes into the take-up spool recess...

Finally shot the base, and you can see the nub at the top right, next to the tripod screw. There's plenty of base on that side for balancing, and it looks intentional. But hard to believe it's just for a permanent anchor for the spool.
