Olympus 35LC self timer stuck

I was shooting using self timer before, all worked fine. Today I cocked the self timer, rewound the film, pushed the shutter release button... Nothing happens. The shutter won't cock. I can advance film as much as want, shutter won't cock and self timer won't move.
Any easy DIY solutions or time to see a qualified repairman?

I'd try to
1. easily move lever forth and back, probably just need lightest help
2. if mechanism is sticking, a small drop of lighter fluid on a tip of screwdriver applied directly to ST wheels could help. If it doesn't start to move after first drop, I'd stop to not overdo and don't flush shutter. Open shutter and work from there then.

I know a bit late now. It usually inadvisable to use the ST on older FLRF. If you get it working again, and need a ST, an Autoknips or similar might be better. I hope you get the LC working - great lens, excellent camera.

It doesn't sound like a stuck timer, but a shutter cocking malfunction. The ST won't run until it's triggered by the shutter release. You threw me when you said "rewound the film", as I thought maybe your re-winder button was stuck. But I'd look under the top to make sure all the levers are doing the proper thing, and nothing like a broken spring is keeping the shutter from cocking.

You threw me when you said "rewound the film", as I thought maybe your re-winder button was stuck. But I'd look under the top to make sure all the levers are doing the proper thing, and nothing like a broken spring is keeping the shutter from cocking.

I checked that - no broken springs or anything of that sort. I could not really find anything under the top that would not work properly. So, I guess, it's time to go deeper and start disassembling the lens.

Stuck blades or stuck delay train. Remove your front lens group / with spanner, retainer and name ring first, unscrew the glass use a toothpick to "push" the blades..if they are stuck that will move them and the st will release the shutter. Non use of the st will leave them stiff, a gentle pressure will SOMETIMES let it run.
Either way it sounds time for a CLA.

CLA? No, it will cost more than I paid for the camera. It will rest peacefully on the shelf.
