To me it's a bad idea. The sensor is small and you're "throwing away" most of the image circle of a nice lens. I'd choose a larger sensor camera with a cheaper lens instead, or a lens that matches the MTF format, such as the Panasonic 20/1.7. Remember that 28 mm on MFT is quite long for an all purpose lens.

Just out of interest I have seen an adaptor fro Contax G2 fort his camera on e-bay.
The biggest pur off for me is the 2x crop factor all the same its an interesting development.

While it seems like a great idea, I feel the Zuikos and Lumix lenses are best for 4/3 cameras.

Retnull, your images are soft and/or slightly out of focus. Your lenses would be awesome on the M8/8.2 or M9.

My E-P1 experiences in Ireland 2009. I used the kit 14-24 lens, 90mm Summicron, 21mm 2.8, 35 Summicron and 50mm Summicron. No complaints at all. And the 90 may be easier to focus on the 4/3rds since the screen is so large compared to the small M8 focus 90mm frame.

I love my EP-1 with my Leica & VC glass. It is taking me a awhile to get used to focusing via the screen but it isn't bad it is just different. I really like the EP-1 colours and my 90/2.8 gives me an excellent close up option which I can't achieve on my M8. Again the M8 results are certainly of better quality but the Ep-1 has it's place in my walkaround bag now.

There is nothing wrong with the quality of image you get from a m4/3 camera. OK, it doesn't have the rendering of tone that a Leica M8 or M9 has, but it has a higher pixel pitch so the resolution is very good indeed. Up to a large print size nobody is going to be able to tell the difference unless you prime them with full exposure and location information to enable a guess if its from an M8 on a bad day or an EP-1 on a good day.

But the crop factor caused by the photographer putting a 35mm lens on a m4/3 body is something the photographer has to decide for themselves. It offers a nice alternative use for your Leica lenses in my opinion, allowing a fresh approach, one where you don't have to feel obliged to pixel peep, or get obsessive or po faced about how seriously good your Leica lenses are when used on an M8 or M9. But hardly surprisingly, Leica lenses do remain seriously good on m4/3, so its fun fun and win win if thats what you want to try.

Well, might not be fun with some lenses - e.g. when I think of my lovely VC 15 - it will be a not very spectacular 30/4,5

But when using 'long' lenses, this might be quite interesting:
The Summicron 50/2 will turn into a 100/2 - not so bad, eh?
Or the humble Elmar 90/4 will be a 180/4!

I just got a Lumix G1 with the Novoflex Leica adapter, the first test shots look quite nice.

The Nikon adapter will arrive soon - I am eager to test my 170/1,4 and my 270/2 and my 160-400/2,8

.... and then, there will be a Leica M2 or Nikon F3 in my bag, too, so I can get some decent color slides with the very same lenses!

Actually the 90/f2 was allot of fun to use on the EP1. A 180/f2 Leica lens!

currently my favourite on the e-p1 is the CV 4/25mm snapshot skopar. fastest to focus, good IQ, and surprisingly well to use even under not-so-bright lighting. i use it with the jinfinance (RJ camera) LM39-G1 adapter.
i also use RJ's leica M, 4/3, and nikonS adapters. good quality, and a very nice guy to deal with.

I think it is a horrible idea... just because it takes a great wide-angle and makes it a 56mm lens.

Yes- and it has been documented quite often that M lenses shorter than 35 mm perform sub-optimal on micro 4/3rds, so just for a tele shot with lower IQ? No thanks.
