I took out the rewind knob/crank, but when putting it back together, the piece of wire holding the crank in place disappeared into the camera.
I can't remove the top because I can not get the wind lever off.
Is there any way to fix the missing wire spring? I'm talking about the wire that fits in the groove in the crank.
Any suggestions??

I haven't had to do this yet but yu could google the videos demonstrating how to replace OM foam prism, that should provide instructions on how to remove the wind lever and top. Good luck! OM2's are awesome!

Fixed !!!
I tried the rewind crank again with my spanner and got it off. Then easily took off the piece where the hot shoe goes, and the rewind crank.
The small spring (looks a bit like the letter D) was sitting there.
I loosened one small screw holding the black plastic piece the rewind crank goes through.
Then slipped the D spring up onto the bottom of that piece, and turned it a bit until the flat part went into the slot. The D spring hold the crank in place.
Put it all back together and all is good.
