yes - there is a spot button on the top next to and a little behind the shutter button

you push the spot button and that's your exposure point, multiple pushes will average together. you then must adjust exposure - since the OM-3 is manual (aperture and shutter speed) to match that value

While the OM-3 is way out of my budget, an OM-4 has been in my shopping list for quite some time now. Thanks for the review.
