Olympus OM1 Kit Package

I have two Olympus OM1 kits.

They both come with a case which sits in the original packaging.

One has the 50mm F1.8 lens and the other a 50mm F1.4.

Was this only done with the OM1?

My original OM-1md/black came as a kit with the 50/1.4 and a leather case. The case was in a separate box so it might have just been a package deal. The 1.4 was packed installed on the body without a separate box, rear cap or body cap.

The flash shoe was included but not attached to the body. There was a plastic cap in the flash mounting socket that I threw away.

That was in 1975.

Pretty sure I got my OM-2 as a "kit" with a 50 F1.4. 1977. Mine didn't come with a leather case though; instead it came with a case that fit the 50 F1.2, which was a little oversized for what I needed. I expect the retailer is one who assembled this kit.

Those Little Black Plugs

Those little black plugs are very hard to get hold of. Maybe most people did throw them away
