Olympus Pen 40/1.4 on the GF1

I love this combo. The lens has a nice big focus ring, and the LCD is sharp enough so that I don't need to go to magnified view to get precise focus wide open.

Very nice especially the first of the three. I have to say that it's always fascinating to see these kinds of shots. I wish more people would post examples of different glass on the GF1.

Nice and a question on the focal length....

Most have accepted the doubling factor of the focal length of 35mm lenses on Micro 4/3 cameras.

However, the Pen F/Ft lenses were developed for half frame. So wouldn't the 40 be a 40 on M4/3, and the 28 actually 28 as well.

The 4/3 sensor is almost exactly half of the 35mm frame.

Any 40mm lens is equivalent to an 80mm FOV on m4/3. The 40mm is an absolute value. So the Pen 40/1.4 functions as a nice fast portrait lens.
