Olympus Pen D3 light meter wiring

I’m trying to fix the light meter on an Olympus Pen D3. When I received the camera the light meter was always on and the button on the back of the camera did nothing. I have checked the button (switch) operation and it does complete the circuit when it is depressed. I’m thinking that who ever had this camera before me did something with the wiring. Does anyone have an Olympus Pen D3 with a working light meter? Is it possible to take a photo of the wiring? The wiring I need to see is just under the top chrome cover. The top chrome cover is removed by unscrewing the 2 screws under the rewind crank, the single screw on the take-up side and the metering button collar. Included in my question is a photo of my Pen D3 wiring.

I have one and I'm not averse to taking it apart (again), but right now it's got film in it, so I can't help you at the moment. The easiest thing to do is going to be to trace the voltage from the battery to the meter. If you don't have a multimeter, get a cheap one (I prefer digital, but analog will work fine here as well) and see what's going on.
