Sweet! This camera looks amazing!!! Any word on prices in North America?
I was just about to sell my lovely 28mm f2 OM lens because I wasn't using it. You can buy an adapter for this camera!!

Part of me wants one NOW!! and part of me wonders if the image quality and functionality will be noticably better cf say the Pana LX3 or Canon G10. Would be nice tu use Leica glass on it though.

We're all light!
Hope they do well with this one. Not for me, however.

Shaken, so blurred
The above dpReview link is broken (for me, at least). This works better:

The kit looks sweet! Forecast is OM lens price will skyrocket in the next 2 months or so.

Bring on some fast wide primes, and then we'll talk.

My OM 24/2 becomes a 50/2 and my OM 50/2 macro becomes a 100/2 macro, cool!

I'm not sure this will be the best platform for OM lenses with it's low res LCD. We'll have to wait and see when someone gets one in his hands.
I'm hoping the lenses designed for it will be excellent performers.

Hopefully there will be a slew of new lenses. I am looking forward to Olympus' offerings.

Looking forward to testing this, as it does look exactly like the camera I have been after. Black and silver in that brown case, finder on top.

I'm really considering this camera, but after reading the dpreview preview, I'm not so sure. Specifically, it's around manual focusing of lenses. They said that the quality of the lcd in sunlight isn't enough for manual focusing. One of the draws of this camera is the ability to use other lenses, so if focusing is going to be extremely tough, I'm not sure it's worth it. OTOH, with a few more m4/3 AF lenses, maybe it won't matter too much...

Unfortunately for me, this is not the camera I am waiting for. No doubt it is quite compact for replacing a dslr, but too big to replace a compact digital like the G-10.
Why the highly compact size is to be considered so important ? The truth is that it is not. But those among us who have tasted the enhanced might of an invisible camera for street photography, with an autozoom command at the index finger - hardly may want to cross backwards the barrier of extra 20mm beyond the 100.
Of course this is not meant to say that street photography should be a sacred dogma measuring everything. The world of photography genres is so wide that to state it once more it would be an overkill.
Cheers,
Ruben

Same size as G10, bigger sensor, interchangeable lenses (possibility of fast primes).
Maybe not quite there yet, but definitely going in the right direction. Maybe there will be an ideal (for me) digital camera in my lifetime.

dpreview about the e-p1: 121mm (W) x 70mm (H) x 36mm (D) 4.7" x 2.7" x 1.4"
dpreview about the g-10: 109 x 78 x 46 mm (4.3 x 3.1 x 1.8 in)
dpreview about the A590is:94 x 65 x 41 mm (3.7 x 2.6 x 1.6 in
Of course the E-P1 sizes are body only without pacake, and do not include in the height the extra finder, included at the abovequoted powershots.
I am actually using the A590is, and waiting to see the "G-11" as the 10 doesn't satisfy me enough to justify the buck (this is purely personal), although in terms of size the G-10 is the maximum I would go, and otherwise wait.
