Olympus Pen EES-2 flash question

Just picked up my first 1/2 frame! As the ees-2 has a hot shoe I was wondering if any Rff'r would happen to know what the speed it is synching at as well as if aperature ring can be had to be in a specific setting for flash?

syncs at 40th of a second. just set the aperture ring to the desired value. Auto will not work in low ligt.
