Sadly, then a whole other group of people would be complaining about the lack of wheels, customizable buttons and fiddly joysticks!

The Pen FT is ok if you loose the self timer, take out the meter and replace it's semi silvered mirror with a full surface mirror. The meter is a dumb design anyway. These things and put in a all matte focusing screen and they are about perfect.

Just tried to get used to all the functions, it's pretty good to handle and I just wish the sensor is FULL SIZE, that will be perfect.🙂

It is FULL SIZE for micro43. Or did you mean FULL SIZE for a vintage Pen F, meaning half-frame/APS-C? FULL SIZE 35mm? Perhaps 120? I know, you must be talking about the new 360 degree capture cameras -- that's got to be as FULL SIZE as it gets! :angel:

I have had a few Olympuses. They are wonderfully built cameras, excellent materials, ergonomics and looks. I got rid of e-p5 a few month after buying it due to a shutter shock issue. I heard they finally nailed it in this one! Let us know about your impressions with it.
I was considering it as an upgrade for my E-P1 but in 2016 m43 doesn't make much sense to me when there are Sony A7 and Fuji cameras with a better sensors at almost the same price...

Sold my EM5ii thinking I would get the Pen-F. Unsure now and only have two lenses left, the 12mm f2 and the Panaleica 25mm 1.4 which are both up for sale. The lenses are fine performers and the Oly cameras are good but I never really managed to get used to the operation of them. Maybe it's just me but I always found myself operating the wrong dial and the focus points were forever moving position even after changing settings. I do like the smaller, RF styling of the Pen tho.

personally, i would put any 20mp and a few 16mp m4/3 cams against fuji for general IQ. again, imo, ff is a different story, but xtrans vs m4/3, not as big a difference as one might think. moreover, i can understand why many would prefer m4/3 for ease of PP vs the again imo assinine machinations one needs to do to massage xtrans files. imo, m4/3 fares much better vs fuji than fuji fares vs ff. and i presently have three fuji cameras!

Pen FV's are more expensive and hard to source. The FT is common and fairly easy to modify. I like my old, dual stroke Pen F because of the plain matte screen. Never could abide micro prism circle cluttering up my view.

I got to handle one at a San Diego meetup, I brought my FV + 38mm to compare. I was impressed at the slightly smaller size but too many buttons and the lag on the VF was off-putting. Obviously a different target market than the Sony A7 series and I was in a very dark bar but I would not put up with that sort of VF lag for my personal use.
