Hey Everyone - just picked up an Olympus Pen W, which needs new seals and a shutter overhaul.

Who's a good contact these days in 2016? zuiko.com??

I also have a donor Pen S with the same shutter (also sticky though, but all speeds do fire) which could serve as a parts camera, so parts shouldn't be an issue.

Zacks Camera Repair in Providence Rhode Island overhauled a Pen D for me last year. Good work, reasonable fee, and camera was back in two or three weeks. Even repaired the meter.

these pens are dead simple to repair. if you have the right screwdriver, pointed spanner wrench, and some ronsonol you can do it yourself.

I'll check out Zacks, thanks wvo.

Aizan, If it weren't kind of a rare camera, I'd definitely be more down to try tackling it myself. Tackling it myself is how the pen S ended up as a parts camera!

My track record isn't that good I guess.

I may be late with this response but John Hermanson of ZUIKO.COM no longer works on Olympus Pen D,S,W,. I believe he still works on Pen F series.

Thanks viewfinder. Just so everyone knows, John hermanson no longer works on these, that is confirmed. Michael Zacks fixed the W up for me and it is working great.

I also own a Olympus Pen W and an Olympus Pen S3.5

I will repair mine very soon, i'll tell you how it goes. It is supposedly very simple. I've already cleaned the lens elements.
