Olympus Please bring back the XA pocket camera. Either as analogue or even digital.

I don't think we'll ever see anything like the Olympus XA again, film or digital.
I too prefer my XA2 and XA3. They are less fiddly to use than the XA.

I primarily use pocket 35mm film cameras.
One factor that can contribute to unreliability issues is pocket lint.
Thorough internal cleaning during service often solves that.
Use of a pouch case can also prolong service life.

Chris

I had it on belt in the pouch. Pulling it out by strap was opening it and setting focus to 3m.

It crapped out within couple of years.
Too tiny electronics.

In the meantime, I bought a Chinon Bellami off eBay that I've already proven is in working condition. Yeah, it's kind of a funky camera. Zone focus, and fully auto with no override whatsoever, but I'm kind of a funky sort so I like it!

Very nice camera indeed!
I recently was looking to that one aswel, trying to find the best cam for my personal needs.
It was very high on my list. However, didn't buy, yet... don't know the reason anymore.
Was also looking to something with a waist level viewfinder, such as the Pentax LX, but still undecided.
Perhaps I buy both... perhaps none.
Something for 2026... first move home, other things on my mind ;-)
