Hi everybody,
I droped my Olympus 35 SP from about 1.5m and it landed on the edge of the lens. Now the lens is at an angle and the focus ring it very sticky. Can the lens and or lens mount be fixed? or do I now own a paper wieght.

For what it would cost to have professionally repaired you can buy a replacement camera. It happens to everyone.

A lot of shock gets absorbed when a camera land on its baseplate. If yours is so bad that the lens is at an angle, it sounds like the body casting is bent. Trying to re-align the lens is time-consuming, and hard to get right.

You own a parts camera. That can ve very useful when you go shopping for a replacement. Or, if you buy a good useable SP, you can recover some of the cost by selling the useable parts. Parts cameras for sought after cameras bring good prices.

Sadly, compassion is lost in the school of hard knocks.
