Hi,
I've one of these 1994 commemerative cameras in the collection and - since the RPS is a British society - have always wondered why the camera and box are marked Olympus mju-I but the instructions are for the infinity Stylus which is the American name for the mju-I.
So, were they sold in America?
And, did the UK ones have this mixture?
And, does any one know how many were made for the 1994 centenary?

First, Dave, did you buy it new? If so, then Olympus may have only printed instructions for the NA model. Or maybe there was a slip-up at the factory when the packaging was done.
If you got it used, then perhaps the original owner preferred to keep the mju-I instructions, and replaced them with ones for the Infinity.
I haven't come across one of these for sale in the US, so I doubt they were marketed here.

Thanks, that gave me an idea. I've looked on the back of the instructions for date code clues and there's 1097 as one of the codes. Suggesting a date and replacement. It was BNIB and often missing bits for other cameras are taken from the last one on the shelf and then replaced later...
Looking at other mju-I's and II's they have codes like 0592 which suggests a date and one mju-II has 1201 which might and might not be a date. So was the mju-II still being sold then? I'm used to printer's codes (like 50M and so on for the print runs) but wonder more now.
