Well, with a less than 2x zoom range, I don't know how they marketed this as being "Super". Works okay for what you get, though.

Very nice, I particularly like the last.

Thanks, Ranchu. Did you see all the shots on Flickr? I'm thinking maybe I should rework "Companions Walk" a bit, possibly knock down some of the highlights. It might even look good in B&W. But other than a crop, that is as it was scanned.

I've Superzoom 80S, pre-Mju series. Also wondering if Olympus back then really believed 38-80mm being a superzoom?

I have one of these languishing on my shelf. Seeing the nice results from yours, i might have to dust mine off.

Nice shots. I too love the last one. Mine I think is a Superzoom 115. I should put in a fresh film & give it another whirl. Last roll looked crapy.

Ah, 115, now that's getting there. This camera actually did better at the 70 setting, than at 38. But then I did forget about the Infinity Lock switch on the front, until I was mostly through the roll.

It was all marketing baloney.

The large viewfinder is a plus. I have no idea how long the film was in the camera, as it was there when I got it, and then I don't remember how long I've had it.

Hi fairlymac, sorry to reply so late. I guess it's up to you, I like the brightness, the sun on snow really does glare like that as you know. I also don't think bringing it down would change much besides making the highlights darker. I like it as is!

Oh, I like this version too, but sometimes I like to see what else I can get out of the image.
