I have an Olympus Trip 35 Ser #116359 that has a max ISO setting of 200. Everything that I have read states that the camera has a max setting of ISO 400.
The ring cannot be rotated past the 200 marking. Were some early cameras limited to ISO 200? Or is there an obstruction?

How far does it go in the other direction? If it turns off the bottom of the scale at the other end, it may be that someone has been in there and not got it back quite right. If the marks go up to 400, I'd assume it's a problem, not design.

Yeah there should be 3 more settings after 200 ~ 250/320/400 and as Muggins says someone may have been in there and not put it back in the right position which sounds likely, possibly after cleaning the aperture blades, a common fault.

Thanks for all the help. Looks like I have an interesting project ahead.

Here's the orginal thread for the first set of instructions from 2008 with some possible additional tidbits, worth a read and keep us updated.

Original Olympus Trip Repair Thread.

Interesting name of the original poster, any relation Muggins? 😉
